- A published writer for over 30-years, I decided to go into semi-retirement a couple of years ago to work on some projects I never got round to. Although I’ve worked mainly in comics, I’ve also worked in TV and radio and as a scriptwriter for animation studios. I also I spent two years as a gag writer submitting jokes to a number of comedians, even when they begged me not to. Finally, I’ve dabbled in the arcane arts of gonzo journalism. A devoted fan of the late Hunter S. Thompson I’ve attempted to emulate the gonzo style. On the other hand I never acquired Hunter’s voracious appetite for mind bending substances. Well, let’s just say I’ve never taken as many as he did.
