We aim to support grassroots writers and visual artists who are creating comics in Scotland, and to encourage those who haven’t thought about it to throw away their preconceptions, and consider making comics in their own way.

We want to do away with the myth that all comics are about superheroes and children’s stories and we particularly invite artists and writers who currently work outwith the field of comics to contribute, pushing the boundaries of what is possible.

Above all, we encourage innovation and diversity.

Graphic Scotland Community

Through an online and face-to-face community, we aim to bring together writers, artists and anyone curious about creating and publishing comics in Scotland.
Our online community space provides opportunities to connect with people from throughout Scotland and beyond, to show work, start discussions, share news and events and find others to collaborate with to make beautiful comics.
We are planning a series of events to complement the online community, bringing together writers and artists and letting people find out more about the comics medium.

We want to respond to the needs of the comics community in Scotland and, in so doing, grow and diversify it.
