Hi there

 

Sounds interesting... a lot of the work I do is fairly experimental and I've recently been working on a series of postcard-sized images drawn from literature, as well as comic strips based on R.D. Laing's  'poems' in Knots, so might suit the project. The image below is a metaphorical illustration from The Busconductor Hines. Happy to show you more stuff if you're interested.

I really like your image and you definitely will be suited to the work.

 

The nature of the webcomic will be several different poems in a comic book style.

Each poem will be different so a different style will be needed for each comic.

The poems will have various themes and styles (horror, drama, fantasy etc).

Some are narrative poems while others are more abstract.

 

But I can give you more information if you are still interested.

Hi again,

I am still looking for artists for this webcomic.

Just to give some more information on the project:

The webcomic will be 20 standalone episodes.

Each episode is a poem told in comic book format.

Each comic has different themes (horror, drama, sci-fi, espionage etc)

and each comic is between 1 and 5 pages.

 

I am looking to work with different artists so the artist may only have to illustrate 1 page if the story requires it.

The poetry is experimental and I would like the artwork to reflect this.

 

I plan to put out 1 episode a week for 20 weeks, hopefully starting Summer 2012.

If anyone is interested then please get in contact and if you have any questions please let me know. The scripts are written and ready for an artist to get started.

Hi Shannon,

Thanks for your interest. The poems have been written by me. I have written a script for each poem so they are in a comic book format, (sequential images and text).  Basically it is a poem written by me and illustrated by an artist as a short comic book.

I am asking the artist to experiment when interpreting the script, but obviously keeping the story and themes of the poem comics apparent.
